New rules on marketing of Veal |
This applies to bovine animals under 12 months old
Animals under 8 months old are to be labelled as "Veal". Between 8 and 12 months are to be labelled as "beef" (not "rose veal").
The age on slaughter is to be marked at all stages of marketing. This applied from 1st July 2008. |
